We didn’t see a lot of items that caught our attention, but that’s understandable since inventory at places like this is always changing. I did end up finding and buying a nice candle holder. Unfortunately, the checkout experience left a bad impression. The older lady at the register seemed unhappy that I chose not to round up my total to the next dollar. When her colleague offered to wrap our items, she got grumpy and then told them not to do it. It felt unnecessary and put a damper on the experience. Friendly customer service at checkout makes a big difference, and customers shouldn’t be made to feel uncomfortable for choosing not to round up their purchase.

Each Restore has its own personality and the Cary store is small but it has some really great things. Folks who work here are nice. Store is neat and clean. Wake Restores have a new pricing schedule for reductions and time will tell if it’s a good idea or not.

I had just left the Cary ReUse Center. After making a donation next door, I noticed an open dumpster by the driveway and stopped to throw away one joint protector they did not want. Bless their hearts, the reaction was immediate. A middle-aged woman and an older man shouted, β€œPick it up or we will call Cary police.” That was hospitality with a little extra seasoning. To avoid becoming a law-enforcement matter over a single joint protector, I think I will stay away from the Cary ReUse Center for the rest of my life, and my donations will be staying away too.

Love going here. I bought wires for computers. I love the affordable handles and knobs. Many things like curtain rods and some antique furnitures are also fun for projects.

Most importantly my whole kitchen came from here. The cabinet department (Ellie) was very helpful and saved me a ton of money. Well organized store. Structured price reductions. If you don't follow their Facebook, you should because they post most of the pictures of everything there. They had someone beautiful things today.
